Rajkiya Engineering College (R.E.C.), Basti, is established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in the Year 2023. The college is offering B. Tech Programme in four disciplines–Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Science Engineering (CSE), Civil Engineering (CE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) with the intake of 60 seats in each branch from the session 2023-24.
The college is running on the Institute of Engineering and Technology, Lucknow, campus for this session only. The institute is a constituent college of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow. Prof. Kuldeep Sahay has joined as the founder director of this Institute.
